In brief :
The
briefest answer to the question whether and how much the contemporary Danubian
Bulgarians are Slavs is that the Bulgarians are neither slavs, nor turks,simply
because they are more ancient people than the slavs and the turks. Similar to
the Jews and the Greek,though on a narrower scale, the Bulgarians are not very
numerous people but with considerable spiritual strength and power of influence.
