In brief :

This summary with an obliging title is neither a guide for beginning politicians nor a manual for achieving political success. I do not fancy thinking that I am the spokesman for history but I would like to share Clio's "lessons of the past" with the ones curious to learn but not having the time to read tons of historical volumes. Thus the historian fulfills its social duties towards politicians with a mission. In this book you would not find more "lessons" than an individual caught up in the worries of daily life can take. But if anyone commits even an hour to browse through this volume, the satisfaction would be greater than just the vision of being a tiny atom in the flow of history.
